Sewing tutorial–Lined Curtain Panels (March 2017)
My biggest fear the first time I sewed curtains was with the blind hemming. I learned that if you just sew a regular hem, it is barely noticeable. No need for blind hemming. I also discovered that inserting a piece of buckram in the header of the curtain so that you can use the pin-in drapery hooks makes all the difference in how the curtains look.
One other tip. While you can use regular weight cotton fabric for the curtains, spending the extra money on drapery/upholstery fabric will make your curtains look even better.
