Here is a Word document that has all the glyphs (special, alternate characters) in the Samantha font. Once you have Samantha installed on your computer as a font you can open this document in your word processor. Then find a special character you want to use. Then copy is to the clipboard and paste it […]

There are four ways to correctly use an icon from The Noun Project. Please pay particular attention to #2, below. 1. You can sign up for a free […]
Today I made personalized Dopp Kit toiletry bags for the boys with Star Wars fabric lining. I used a simple pattern from Craftsy ( https://www.craftsy.com/blog/2015/12/dopp-kit-tutorial/ ) Then I used my Silhouette Cameo cutter and heat press to add the boys’ names on them.
I sewed this kid-size messenger bag for my older son. I used pattern #545 from The Green Pepper (http://www.thegreenpepper.com/product/545-oregon-trail-messenger-bag-pattern/). The black exterior and red lining fabric are both 500 Dernier coated Cordura nylon from Rockywoods Fabrics (http://www.rockywoods.com/1000D-Cordura-Nylon/500-Denier-coated-Cordura-Nylon-Fabric). The graphic is a personalized Star Wars Imperial logo that I cut with my Silhouette Cameo machine out […]

Use my free spreadsheet to make a tote bag to your personalized size specifications. Whenever we go on a picnic or spend a day at the beach we never have a tote bag to carry the food, blanket and toys in. I wanted something about the size of this Land’s End Tote, but not so […]
Here’s our Bennett Family Portrait. It includes our dog (Maggie) and cat (Charlie). I painted those Legos to match how the pets look. I found this idea on Apartment Therapy. Here’s Lisa’s original post.
Canvas Art from Photographs 1. Buy 6 stretched canvases. The Lego photos are on 8″x8″ canvases. The dog photo is on 12″x12″. 2. Use Photoshop or Gimp to divide a photo file into 6 subfiles. 3. Print out each photo. 4. Trim each photo so that it is about 1/4″ smaller than the size of […]
My toddler son loves garbage trucks and I couldn’t find a picture book that features them. I printed off 5×7 pictures of him with garbage bins, and also printed off photos of garbage trucks I found online. I cut the photos down to 5×5 and then used spray adhesive to glue them on an […]
